WELCOME!
Letterportrait ™ was born out of my desire to share my artwork, Alphabet, and my font design. Alphabet is a light sculpture I created by overlapping all of the letters in the alphabet. I realized that I could make unique and personalized pieces for everyone using the letters of their names – thus Letterportrait ™ was born.

Hayato Matsushita is a Japanese-born American artist raised in New York. He has lived in the New York metropolitan area for many years. His childhood interests in science and art led him to study and graduate from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Hayato has had three solo shows at Christopher Henry Gallery and has participated in numerous group shows. Hayato also founded Junto Gallery in Bushwick, Brooklyn, in 2007, where he curated and organized many exhibitions and events.
